PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Aristotle is admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore. He is fluent in English and conversational Mandarin. He graduated with Second Upper-Class Honours from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and placed second in his graduating cohort.
Aristotle’s main areas of practice include criminal and civil litigation. He has represented accused persons at all levels of the criminal courts in Singapore, including trials and appeals in the High Court and Court of Appeal. His experience spans capital cases and a broad spectrum of criminal offences involving serious violence, sexual assaults, and drugs. Additionally, he has advised clients on white-collar offences such as cheating, fraud, corruption, and offences under the Securities and Futures Act.
Aristotle regularly assists clients throughout criminal investigations, including making applications to leave jurisdiction, representations for charge reduction or withdrawal, and liaising with Prosecutors and investigating officers to obtain crucial information and documents.
In civil litigation, Aristotle appears before the civil courts and mediations concerning contractual disputes, breach of trust, employment claims, and shareholders disputes. He is experienced in drafting documents and agreements, seeking summary judgment, setting aside judgments, and securing interim injunctions such as Mareva and third-party disclosure applications.
Aristotle has a particular interest in access to justice issues and has volunteered at the Law Society Pro Bono Services to help individuals who were unable to afford legal representation.
